Feedback Loops for Software Delivery

This is a summary of the talk by Gojko Adzic. Gojko was super enthousastic. The perfect speaker to wake us all up after a night full of long technical discussions.

Gojko Adzic waking us up while talking about Feedback Loops in software development

His talk was about feedback loops. Without them, you and your team are running in circles.

The presentation reminded me of the book Thinking in Systems by Donella H. Meadows and Diana Wright. It goes into detail about delays in feedback loops, oscillations caused by delays etc.

“Feedback needs to be actionable. Otherwise it’s just bad news.”

Feedback in software development could be the tests. They need to run fast and be easy to add. Otherwise it might have been designed badly.

He also mentioned the 4 Disciplines of Execution.
